Description
I scaled the heart down to a reasonable size. I printed all walls (widened them by about 0.4mm). I cut it in half so it would be easy to print. I added 3 slots for embedding magnets to align the two halves. The slots are for 6mm diameter, 3mm thick neodymium magnets. There's a 0.4mm clearance on the diameter and 1mm clearance on the width: large clearance is needed to ensure the magnets don't protrude, which could otherwise cause print failure. To embed the magnets, add a script in your slicer to pause before height = 4.4mm (layer 20 if using 0.2mm layer height), then embed and continue printing. Remember the magnet orientation when embedding the bottom half, so the two sides attract each other! The heart magnets require supports - I used tree supports in Cura, and they worked great. No internal supports are needed, so you can add support blockers inside. The heart magnets do not require supports, but they might help finish some overhangs better.
