Description
Modern Industrial Monitor Riser – Hybrid Wood & 3D Print
Upgrade your desk setup with this sleek, industrial-style monitor stand. This design is a "hybrid" build, combining the precision of 3D printing with the strength and aesthetic of standard 1"x6" S4S lumber.
By using real wood for the shelf, you get a monitor riser that is significantly stronger than a pure plastic version, while using a fraction of the filament!
Features:
- Eco-Friendly Design: Perfect for utilizing "off-cuts" or scrap wood from your workshop.
- Heavy-Duty Support: The vertical rungs allow you to choose your preferred height or even add multiple shelves for extra storage.
- Scrap Wood Compatible: Designed specifically for S4S 1"x6" boards (common at any hardware store).
- Modern Aesthetic: The matte black frame against natural wood grain creates a high-end look for any office.
Materials Needed:
- 3D Printed Frames: Print two (one for each side).
- Wood: One or two lengths of 1"x6" S4S lumber, cut to your desired desk width.
Print Settings:
- Filament: PLA+ or PETG for better durability.
- Wall Loops: 6 (Crucial for the rungs to handle the weight of the monitor).
- Infill: 25% (Gyroid or Honeycomb).
- Supports: No support
- Orientation: Print laying flat on the build plate for maximum structural integrity of the "slots."
