Upgrade your desk setup with this sleek, industrial-style monitor stand. This design is a "hybrid" build, combining the precision of 3D printing with the strength and aesthetic of standard 1"x6" S4S lumber.

By using real wood for the shelf, you get a monitor riser that is significantly stronger than a pure plastic version, while using a fraction of the filament!

  • Eco-Friendly Design: Perfect for utilizing "off-cuts" or scrap wood from your workshop.
  • Heavy-Duty Support: The vertical rungs allow you to choose your preferred height or even add multiple shelves for extra storage.
  • Scrap Wood Compatible: Designed specifically for S4S 1"x6" boards (common at any hardware store).
  • Modern Aesthetic: The matte black frame against natural wood grain creates a high-end look for any office.

Materials Needed:

  1. 3D Printed Frames: Print two (one for each side).
  2. Wood: One or two lengths of 1"x6" S4S lumber, cut to your desired desk width.

Print Settings:

  • Filament: PLA+ or PETG for better durability.
  • Wall Loops: 6 (Crucial for the rungs to handle the weight of the monitor).
  • Infill: 25% (Gyroid or Honeycomb).
  • Supports: No support
  • Orientation: Print laying flat on the build plate for maximum structural integrity of the "slots."
