Description

I made this piece to extend an oval closet rod. The one in the photos is fitted for a standard 30 x 15 mm oval rod from Leroy Merlin, but I am uploading this as a customizable model so you can easily adjust it to match the exact size of your tube.

Since this part is going to be holding up the weight of your clothes, I strongly recommend printing it in PETG. PLA will probably bend or snap over time under that kind of load.

⚠️ For maximum strength, it is very important to print this horizontally (lying flat). If you print it standing up, the piece will easily break right along the layer lines under the load. Because it needs to be printed flat, you will definitely need to use supports.

💡 Tip: If your rod has very rounded edges and you apply a large corner radius to the model, try printing it with a smaller layer height. It just helps

the curved edges come out much cleaner and gives a better overall finish.
