Description
Description
This is a handy magnetic tool designed for picking up, removing, and repositioning small steel objects like screws, nails, needles, or metal scraps. It’s a perfect addition to any workshop, sewing room, or DIY station.
I designed this wand to be ergonomic and easy to print. It helps you reach into tight spaces or clean up your workbench quickly without touching sharp metal debris.
Available Versions
I have created two different versions so you can choose the one that fits the magnets you have at home:
- Version A: Designed for three 6x3 mm neodymium magnets.
- Version B: Designed for four 6x2 mm neodymium magnets.
Assembly & Fit
The magnet holes are designed for a press-fit (friction hold), so you might not even need glue. However, because every 3D printer has slightly different tolerances, I recommend using a drop of super glue (CA glue) if the magnets feel a bit loose.
Recommended Print Settings
- Material: PETG (for better durability).
- Infill: 20% (Grid or Gyroid recommended for strength).
- Wall Loops (Perimeters): 2
- Supports: No supports needed.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
