Beep – StoryBots Desk Buddy (AMS Multi-Color) fun art

A figure inspired by Beep from the animated series Ask the StoryBots. This model is a fun desk decoration that can sit on the edge of a shelf or desk with freely hanging arms and legs.

The character is designed in a simple cartoon style with a cylindrical body and the recognizable large eyes. The use of strings for the limbs makes them movable, giving the figure a playful and lively look.

Print Setup

Body (AMS Multi-Color)
The body with the face is prepared for multi-color printing using Bambu Lab AMS. This allows all colors to be printed in one process without gluing small parts.

Hands and Feet (separate plate)
The hands and feet are placed on a separate build plate in order to:

• reduce total print time
• minimize filament swaps in AMS
• easily print extra sets of parts if needed

Assembly

You will need 2 pieces of string.

• first string – arms
• second string – legs

The body has through-holes that go completely across the model, allowing the strings to pass from one side to the other.

Assembly steps:

1. Insert the first string through the upper holes (arms).
2. Insert the second string through the lower holes (legs).
3. Attach the hands and feet to the ends of the strings (knot or glue).
4. Adjust the string length so the figure can sit nicely on the edge of a desk or shelf.

Recommended Print Settings

• Material: PLA
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 15%
• Supports: required
• Multi-color printing for the body (AMS)
