Key Feature: Smart Filament Hinge

This design utilizes standard 1.75mm filament to create the axes for all hinges.

  • Why? This makes the hinges incredibly strong, smooth, and eliminates the need for expensive screws or metal pins.
  • How? The main panels print in place. After printing, you simply slide a short piece of 1.75mm filament through the aligned hinge holes and trim the excess. It locks perfectly.

Print Settings

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS (PETG recommended for best hinge durability).
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm (standard).
  • Walls: 3.
  • Infill: 15% (Gyroid is excellent for this geometry).
  • Supports: NO supports needed.
  • Orientation: Print all flat panels face-down on the bed.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Print all necessary panels.
  2. Align the side panels with the base.
  3. Take a piece of 1.75mm filament and insert it through the hinge holes.
  4. Optional: Briefly heat the very tip of the filament with a lighter (just a fraction of a second) and flatten it against a flat surface to create a head, preventing it from sliding back. Trim the other end and repeat.
