Description

Description

Ice hockey stick grip for 19.7 x 29.7 mm shaft size with 4 mm radius. This fits the widespread composite stick “CCM Jetspeed FT860”.

See: https://www.icewarehouse.com/CCM_Jetspeed_FT860/descpage-JFT86.html

Improvements:

  • The grip has ergonomic lines to support each finger grip (candy cane).
  • Better grip thanks to a more textured “fuzzy skin” for rougher surfaces
  • Lightweight, only 1 mm thick at its thinnest points
  • Rounded end knob feels more comfy
  • Reduced length, overall 175 mm

Adjustments (optionally)

In Bambu Studio you can scale x direction (29.7 mm standard) and y direction (19.7 mm standard) to adjust the grip to your shaft size.

See my other grip how that is done:

As TPU does not shrink use exactly your shaft size or a little bit less (few tenth of a millimeter).

Printing Tipps

Before printing your TPU filament it is recommended to make a retraction test. This should be nearly perfect, otherwise it could be a waste of TPU filament. With Bambu Labs TPU 95A HF filament it needs only small adjustments. The filament profile is included.

Tipp for printing TPU: Use some standard glue (e. g. hairspray) for your print plate to get the print off with more ease.

Grip Installation

Prepare the grip in hot water (50 °C). As glue you can use anything you are also using for your print plate. If your hockey stick has already some grip surface you can try without any glue. On the "CCM Jetspeed FT860" glue is not needed (in my experience). Can be reused by pulling it off with hot water or an air compressor.
