Description

Make any brick, any size! Want a giant one, go for it!

Fully parametric brick generator using the standard 8mm stud-pitch system. Set width, length, height, and scale. Everything else adjusts automatically.

Tune First!

Before you start printing I suggest finding the tolerance that works best for your system. If you are printing your at a scale of 1, then there is a profile for a tolerance test of -0.15 to 0.15 which covers a good range of possible tolerances. If it is outside of this range you may need to generate new bricks with different tolerances.

Parameters

Use the Customizer panel (View > Customizer) in OpenSCAD:

ParameterDefaultDescription
W / L / H2 / 4 / 3Studs wide, studs long, plates tall (3 plates = 1 brick)
SCALE1Size multiplier, works up to giant desk-toy scale
TOL0.0Tolerance offset in mm. (See tolerance test for tuning)
BRIDGE_FINStrueAxis-aligned fins inside the bottom cavity that cut max bridge span from ~13mm to ~3mm

Print settings

No supports needed. Print open-bottom face-down, studs up. PETG recommended, it retains clutch force better than PLA over repeated use. 0.2mm layers, 0.4mm nozzle.

Design notes

Single-plate bricks (H=1) use a 1.2mm top wall instead of 1.6mm so studs from below fully seat. Anti-stud tubes are true hollow cylinders sized to match the stud diameter.
