Portable Dice Box

No more searching for game materials, with my portable dice box you'll always have everything together and ready to hand: Less searching, more rolling! As a tabletop player, I was tired of constantly having to gather all the game materials I needed in addition to my figures. Especially when playing at a friend's house instead of your own, it's easy to forget something and then have to improvise. This is frustrating and disrupts the gaming experience. Especially for games that require many dice and other components beyond the figures themselves, organization is key. With this practical box, you'll always have everything you need in one place, organized and ready to go, so you can jump right into the match! After a game, everything is quickly packed away, and nothing gets lost! While designed for tabletop games, this box is also useful for any other games involving dice. It could be particularly interesting for players who like to add a special touch to their game by using unique dice, for instance :)

What can the box do?

The box includes two inserts for storing materials. I designed one insert with larger compartments, suitable for dice, and a smaller insert for other accessories. The inserts are removable, allowing the box to be used as a generously sized dice tray. The model includes space to glue a fabric layer into the bottom of the box, which adds comfort by dampening dice rolls and giving the box a more refined look. As shown in the photos, I printed my box in black and used blue velvet fabric :) The fabric should be about 1mm thick (the model allows for 1.3mm of clearance). The compartments of the inserts feature rounded interior edges, making it easy to retrieve contents. This is especially practical when you need a handful of dice, as they will slide smoothly from the compartment into your hand, ready to be rolled! Additionally, the box can also function as a card holder. It features a slot where cards can be placed upright. This slot has a slight incline, angling the cards for better readability, even when viewed from beside the table. After a game, the inserts with their contents are placed back into the box, which is then closed with the lid that simply slides in from the side. The inserts are covered snugly, ensuring everything stays in its compartment even if the box is tipped over or turned upside down during transport (without a fabric inlay, the inserts won't be covered *completely* snugly, but will have the mentioned 1.3mm gap to the inner lid; however, nothing should fall out even then). The lid features a magnetic closure, designed to keep the box securely shut, even with stronger impacts or similar, preventing anything from falling out. Six neodymium magnets (6x2mm) are required for the closure. Done! Everything is packed, and the box can go right into your backpack, ready for its next use! :)

Note

For licensing reasons, the lid in the model is without a logo. This makes the lid plain, but it provides space for you to add your own logo and further personalize your box if you wish :) Happy printing!
