In 1961, the Austrian military dispatched a team of elite soldiers to the United States to attend the US Army Special Training School at the time. After these cadets graduated and returned home, and after strict selection by the Austrian military, a special forces unit was formed and named the 'Jagdkommando Special Forces'. This unit achieved excellent results in assault reconnaissance, security, counter-terrorism special services, and earned the respect of special forces from other countries
In 2011, Microtech designed and produced this tactical blade for the Austrian special forces, naming it the 'Jagdkommando Tactical Blade'. This is a single-piece steel tactical fixed blade, pushing MT's perfect machining precision and mechanical manufacturing capabilities to the extreme. The blade features three sharpened edges, three fullers, and the handle is treated and comes with a metal protective sleeve. The blade also has drainage holes allowing for smooth use in any environment, reducing resistance. The tail end has a screw cap where essential items can be stored, and a waterproof ring ensures reliable use
The design of this blade is novel and ingenious, pioneering a new concept for tactical blades, with high-grade materials and exquisite craftsmanship. Coupled with its global limited release, it is sure to become a prized collector's item for blade enthusiasts
