Narrow 4L Cereal Box Filament Drybox System
Print Profile(1)

Description
Turn affordable, narrow 4L cereal containers into the ultimate, organized filament dry boxes! This spool holder is custom-designed to fit perfectly inside specific 4L airtight food storage boxes (commonly found on Allegro), maximizing your shelf space while keeping your filament dry and ready to print.
It features a secure desiccant compartment, a front-facing hygrometer mount, and a swappable label system so you always know what material is inside.
🌟 Key Features
• Perfect Fit for 4L Boxes: Custom-designed for the narrow 4L plastic cereal containers easily found online.
• Secure Desiccant Compartment: The bottom section features a dedicated, closable tray for silica gel beads. The slatted lid is secured with 2 screws, preventing any spills while maximizing airflow to keep humidity perfectly low.
• Hygrometer Mount: Built-in cutout for standard round mini digital hygrometers, so you can monitor humidity at a glance.
• Customizable Labels: Includes a dedicated slot on the front for swappable material tags (like the "TPU" tag shown). You can easily print custom labels for all your filament types.
• Smooth Rolling: The roller design accommodates standard bearings for friction-free unspooling. Don't have metal bearings? I highly recommend using the excellent fully 3D-printable 608Z bearings by Tassesin!

🖨️ Printing Guidelines
• Material: PETG, ABS, or ASA is recommended for durability and slight flexibility, but PLA works perfectly fine for standard room temperatures.
• Supports: Minimal supports may be required depending on your orientation (e.g., for the hygrometer overhang).
• Plate Setup: The parts fit nicely on a standard 256x256 build plate.
🔧 Assembly Instructions
1. Melt the M2 brass heat-set inserts into the designated holes on the base.
2. Pour your preferred desiccant (silica gel beads) into the bottom compartment, place the slatted lid on top, and secure it with 2 M2 screws.
3. Attach your bearings (either metal or Tassesin's 3D printed 608Z models) to the roller pins and secure them to the base using your M2 screws.
4. Pop the mini hygrometer into the front circular slot.
5. Slide your printed material tag into the top holder.
6. Place your filament spool on the rollers, drop the whole assembly into the 4L cereal box, and seal the lid!
