Description
The draining basket for dish sponges next to the kitchen sink was broken, so I designed this double-layer storage basket with a bottom drain The bottom layer has a sloped angle and a drainage opening for easy draining, while the top layer is hollow, and the bottom draining layer can be removed for cleaning Although it's not very attractive, it drains easily, preventing sponges and steel wool from getting moldy It features a two-layer design It was originally intended as a Print in Place model, but testing showed that Print in Place required a lot of support, consuming an extra 200g of filament So, to save material and improve print quality, I split it After printing the top and bottom layers separately, a few drops of 5800, 9406, or similar glues made them very secure
The model is split into 3 plates, requiring approximately 280g of filament and about 13 hours of printing The overall dimensions are 20CM long, 10CM wide, and 20CM high, with each basket being 5CM high Because the length exceeds 20CM, the perforated divider in the lowest layer can be removed for easy cleaning of dirt underneath No need to worry about strength issues PETG and PLA have been tested with default parameters and work fine A few areas require a small amount of support, parameters are already set, just download the print profile and print with one click
There are still areas where the model can be improved, designing is not easy, please be gentle with feedback If you find any issues, please communicate with me promptly If a Print in Place print profile is needed, I will release it later
