Kinetic Floating 12oz and Tall boy drink coaster. Just like the Bambu Anti-Vibration Feet use rubber to decouple the printer's motion from the desk so the desk doesn't shake; the coaster uses 18- N52 magnets to decouple the desk's motion from the drink so the drink doesn't fizz. It’s the same engineering principle, just flipped for the "End User" experience.
This kinetic floating coaster uses 18- 10 x 2 N52 magnets. 100mm base, 77mm x 3mm dish for a coaster cork or the 3D printed honeycomb insert that will collect condensation versus flat coasters that draw liquid up when you lift your drink off."What is the point of this?" It’s a Kinetic Suspension Coaster. Think of it as high-performance engineering for your desk. It uses 18 N52 magnets to create a magnetic "spring" that isolates your drink from surface vibrations, provides a satisfying tactile "bounce," and serves as a functional physics showcase. Everything in this file will be customizable from post size and placement along with magnet size and depth and colors making it perfect to match your favorite Team on Game Night.
"Is it stable?" Absolutely. While other designs use wide walls to hide weak magnets or electronics, this 8-post open-frame design is engineered for stability. It is "beefy" enough to hold two full 12oz cans without bottoming out, thanks to the high repulsion force of the magnets.
"Impact Isolation: Perfect for gamers or office workers who tend to 'thump' their desks. The magnetic suspension absorbs the impact, preventing your drink from sloshing or fizzing up when the desk is bumped."
"Why not just use a regular coaster?" Because a regular coaster doesn't have - 40mm of travel or the ability to support over 30oz of magnetic lift. This is for people who appreciate 3D design, mechanical physics, fidgets and having the coolest accessory in the office.

Total Build Time: ~8.5 Hours across 4 plates using PETG on a DarkMoon G-10 build plate using an E3D Obxidian Nozzle with a stock H2S Nozzle Setting so this can be printed without a high-end nozzle.
Total Color Changes: 69 (Optimized for the H2S and AMS 2 Pro.
Required Hardware Needed: 18x (10x2mm) N52 Neodymium Magnets.

Required Adhesive: Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy or your own Preferred Choice of Strong Structural Adhesive/glue.

Plate 2: Floating & Retaining Ring (32 Swaps / 3h 58m).
Plate 3: Magnet Covers (6 Swaps / 51m).
Plate 4: Customizable Honeycomb Insert (9 Swaps / 33m).
Pro-Tip: Ensure your magnet polarities are all facing the same direction (Repulsion Mode) before the epoxy sets! I recommend marking one side of all 18 magnets with a sharpie before starting.
