Description
Modular Stackable Sunglasses Stand
Keep your eyewear collection organized and on display with this sleek, modular sunglasses stand. Whether you have two pairs or ten, this design grows with your collection!
Overview
Most sunglasses stands are either too small or take up too much desk space. This design uses a stackable dovetail system, allowing you to add as many levels as you need. The "nose" pieces are designed to securely hold various frame styles, from slim wire aviators to thick-rimmed wayfarers.
Features
- Fully Modular: Print the base and as many middle segments as you want.
- Space-Saving: Vertical orientation keeps your desk or shelf clutter-free.
- Tool-Free Assembly: The parts slide together with a snug friction fit (dovetail joints).
- Clean Aesthetic: A minimalist look that fits any room decor.
Print Settings
To get the best results (as seen in the photos), I recommend the following settings:
- Material: PLA, PETG, or Matte PLA (looks great for home decor).
- Layer Height: 0.2mm (standard) or 0.16mm for smoother curves on the nose pieces.
- Infill: 15% Gyroid (provides plenty of stability).
- Supports: Not required! The angles are designed to be printable on most well-tuned machines.
- Orientation: Print the segments flat on their backs for maximum strength and the best surface finish.
Assembly Instructions
- Place the Base on a flat surface.
- Slide a Modular Segment into the base slot.
- Continue stacking segments until you reach your desired height.
- Finish with the Top Cap for a clean, polished look.
Show off your prints! If you like this model, please upload a profile or a photo of your setup. I’d love to see how many pairs you manage to stack!
