• Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.2mm for a good balance between detail and print times.
• Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid or Grid)

• Top/Bottom Layers: 4 layers
• Supports: Yes, supports are needed.
  • Use "Tree" supports for easy removal and a clean surface finish on the floral parts.
  • Be careful not to place supports inside the clip mechanism, as they could obstruct the hinge. Use support exclusion settings if necessary.

• Scale: The model is scaled for an average hair clip size. It can be scaled slightly, but be careful not to negatively affect the clip's functionality.

Assembly and Functionality

How to achieve a functional clip:

To make the hair clip perfectly functional, you will need to add a small metal spring after printing.

1. Print and Clean: Print the model, remove supports, and ensure the hinge moves freely.
2. Obtain a Spring: You will need a small torsion spring. You can salvage a suitable spring from an old hair clip or purchase one at a craft store.
3. Insert the Spring: Carefully place the spring in the hinge housing as shown in the images. The spring should provide the necessary tension for the clip to close.
4. Test the Clip: Check that the clip opens and closes correctly.

Decoration (Optional):

• Use a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue to attach rhinestones or pearls to the centers of the flowers for a sparkling final touch.
