<h3>Redesign Concept</h3><p>I scaled up and refined the original model to suit <strong>System Cards (102 x 152 mm)</strong>.</p><p>The original design works great for standard index cards, but I wanted something that fits larger-format cards without compromising the clean, organised “file explorer” aesthetic. The proportions have been carefully adjusted so the larger cards sit comfortably while still maintaining the visual balance of the original model.</p><h3>What’s Changed</h3><ul><li><strong>Rescaled Dimensions</strong><br>The entire model has been proportionally adjusted to properly fit <strong>102 × 152 mm System Cards</strong>, ensuring easy insertion and removal without bending or catching.</li><li><strong>Mirrored Dividers for Better Surface Finish</strong><br>The internal dividers have been <strong>mirrored</strong> so they print <strong>face down on the build plate</strong>.<br>This gives:<ul><li>A <strong>much smoother visible surface</strong></li><li>Cleaner edges where it matters most</li></ul></li></ul><p>This is a small change in orientation, but it makes a noticeable difference in the final look and feel of the print.</p><h3>Print Recommendations</h3><ul><li><strong>Material:</strong> PLA (Matte recommended for that clean “desktop UI” look)</li><li><strong>Layer Height:</strong> 0.2 mm (or 0.16 mm for a sharper finish)</li><li><strong>Infill:</strong> 6-10%</li><li><strong>Supports:</strong> Tree Slim<ul><li>Top Z distance: 0.21</li><li>Support/object first layer gap: 1mm</li></ul></li><li><strong>Orientation:</strong><ul><li>Holder and Body: standard</li><li>Dividers: pre-oriented (face down for smooth finish)</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Final Result</h3><p>You get a larger, practical version of the original design, with <strong>improved surface quality on the dividers</strong> and a format that suits use with System Cards.</p><p>Clean, functional, and just a little bit more refined where it counts.</p>
