Description
Boost Me (for free)
Carrying boosts is exhausting. Lucky for you, I specialize in holding them
A simple and solid paper towel holder designed for both kitchens and garages. It mounts securely with screws, while built-in magnets make swapping paper towel rolls quick and easy.
1. Insert Version (Recommended for cabinets)
- Uses heat set inserts (M3*8*5) + M3 screws
- Great for thinner cabinet bottoms
- Cleaner install
2. Standard Screw Version
- Designed for #6 screws (I used wood screws)
- Can be mounted vertically or horizontally
- Perfect for garages or workshop setups
Magnets
- Designed for 10mm x 3mm round magnets
- 4 magnets in the ring for easy alignment (no guessing orientation)
- Knobs use 1-4 magnets depending on desired strength (I prefer 2 in the kitchen, but I might switch to 4 for the vertical in my garage)
You can press fit the magnets and they will hold, but to make sure they stay secure after repeated towel changes, I’d recommend adding a small drop of glue.
Make sure your magnet polarity is consistent. I’d suggest installing either all the receivers first or all the knobs first. That way both knobs will work on either side, instead of having to worry about which one goes where.
Extras
- Screw spacing guides for easy install
- 0.1in spacer for a tighter fit if needed (Glue it to the inside as shown in the last image)
If you try it out and see any room for improvement, feel free to leave feedback, even if it’s something minor. As always, if you have any suggestions, just let me know. I’m always trying to improve.
