Acemate Tennis Robot – Transport Mount Trolley Mod
Print Profile(1)

Description
Anyone who owns an Acemate Tennis Robot knows the struggle: carrying it from the car, across the parking lot, and possibly up a few stairs to the court can be a real workout. The robot is quite bulky and carries a fair amount of weight.
The Solution: This project features custom-designed mounts that transform a standard folding hand truck into a tailor-made trolley for the Acemate. Once assembled, the robot sits snugly on the cart, allowing you to easily pull it behind you.
Key Benefits:
- Back-friendly: Stairs and long walks to the court are no longer an issue.
- Easy Handling: Simply place the robot onto the mounts – no tedious strapping or bungee cords required.
- Stable Car Transport: When the robot sits on the modified hand truck inside your trunk, it stops sliding around during the drive.
Important Note: Because the 3D-printed parts are permanently bolted on, the hand truck can no longer be folded. However, the massive boost in transport convenience makes this compromise absolutely worth it!
🛒 Bill of Materials (BOM)
To build this project, you will need the following items in addition to the printed parts:
- Hand Truck / Trolley: https://amzn.to/4uFQpkF (Aff Link)
- Bolts & Nuts: 9x M6 x 25mm (or slightly longer). https://amzn.to/4tlS4KL (Aff Link)
- Rubber Mat: Acts as a cushion to prevent the robot's plastic housing from getting scratched.
- 3D Printer and Filament
⚙️ Print Settings
Since the mount needs to support the weight of the robot and withstand vibrations, the parts must be printed for strength.
- Recommended Material: PETG (due to its mechanical strength, impact resistance, and UV/weather resistance). PLA is too brittle for this application.
- Filament Usage: approx. 630 g
- Print Time: approx. 16 hours
🔧 Assembly Instructions
Remove the rubberparts from the trolley, align the printed parts with the frame of the hand truck and secure them permanently using the nine M6 bolts and nuts. Tighten the bolts firmly, but be careful not to crush or crack the PETG. Finally, cut pieces of the rubber mat to size and stick them onto the contact surfaces where the robot will sit.
🚀 Future Updates / To-Do
This is Version 1.0! For future iterations, I plan to make better use of the upper section of the hand truck. The idea is to design and integrate a permanent, custom-fit holder for the spare battery and charger.
Remixes and feedback are always welcome. Happy printing and enjoy the time on the court!
