Description

Tired of your squirrel baffle cone sliding down the pole and leaving your bird feeders unprotected? This retention collar locks onto your shepherd's hook pole and gives the metal cone baffle a solid, stable shelf to sit on. No more sagging, spinning, or slipping.

The collar clamps securely around the pole using four M4 bolts, and the standard metal cone baffle that came with your shepherd's hook rests right on top. It's a simple, sturdy fix for a problem every backyard birder knows.

What you need:

  • 4x M4 screws (20mm or longer)
  • 4x M4 hex nuts (approximately 7mm across flats)
  • A small strip of double-sided tape (helps grip the pole and prevent rotation)

Installation:

  1. Slide the collar onto the shepherd's hook pole at the desired height
  2. Apply a strip of double-sided tape inside the collar or 2mm Solid Rubber Cord for extra grip
  3. Thread the four M4 screws through the holes and tighten with the hex nuts
  4. Set the metal cone baffle on top — done
