Description

This is a remix of Hog Mountain Woodworks sweet little Husky Toolbox Drawer Labels.

  • The primary difference is that this model has printable/swappable slide-in labels

I really liked the first few of Hog's labels that I printed and lasered the label on, but quickly realized that with as often as I add tools and rework what toolchest holds what tools where in my evolving shop, this was going to make my somewhat fluid organization system a bit of an epic. So, I added a set of channels to his label and created a simple to print label that can slide in an out easily, but still securely stays in place.

For convenience sake, I have created six label sizes ranging from 80mm to 180mm in 20mm increments. Each size has it's own print profile. I added the “Test Fit Clip” that Hog created to each profile. You can quickly print out that clip and ensure that they will fit your drawers before committing to a full print run.

In each size profile, there are three plates. The Label Holder, the Label and the Test Fit Clip. There is only one of each item on each plate, so you will want to clone the correct number of copies that you need.

The label text is set as a face down, flush embedded modifier text object. To see and edit the label text you will need to flip the plate upside down in Bambu Studio. Just select the text object and edit it to suit your needs as right now it has a generic placeholder of “Label Here”.

I have printed my label holders in Bambu PLA Tough+ and PLA Basic. Both work great, but the Tough+ will handle the repeated flexing of removal and repositioning a little better.

This has really made finding the tools I am looking for much easier in my as stated “fluid storage organization system” much much easier. Really helps my workflow stay more efficient.

If you have Craftsman toolboxes, check out these labels here that were designed for them with the same great features.

Happy organizing!

See how I am creating order in my shop with these other models. Might find something that is useful to you also!
