Description

A fully parametric vacuum cleaner nozzle designed to suck debris out of deep, narrow drill holes. Originally made for cleaning 18mm anchor bolt holes in concrete, but customizable for any hole and hose size.

The nozzle tapers from your vacuum hose diameter down to a narrow tube that fits inside the drill hole. Connect it to your shop vac or household vacuum and clean out dust and chips that a drill bit alone can't remove.

Features

  • Fully parametric: customize nozzle diameter, hose diameter, funnel length, wall thickness — everything.
  • Two vacuum hose fit modes: "Insert into hose" (nozzle slides inside the hose) or "Slide over hose" (nozzle fits around the outside). Just measure your hose and pick the mode — the script calculates the correct dimensions automatically.
  • Optional extension tubes for reaching deep holes. Extensions connect via half-wall male/female joints with 45° chamfers for smooth transitions. Print as many segments as you need and press-fit or glue them together.
  • Prints without supports. The nozzle prints wide-end-down and all joint transitions use 45° chamfers.

How to use

1. Measure your drill hole diameter and set `nozzle_od` a couple mm smaller (to allow air to flow).
2. Measure your vacuum hose — inner diameter if inserting, outer diameter if sliding over. Enter it as `hose_diameter` and pick the right fit mode.
3. Adjust `fit_clearance` for tighter or looser fit (default 0.4mm per side).
4. If you need to reach deeper than the nozzle alone, set `extension_count` to generate snap-together tube segments.
5. Print, connect, vacuum.

Print settings

  • No supports needed.
  • 4 perimeters recommended (wall thickness default is 1.6mm = 4 perimeters at 0.4mm nozzle).
  • Any layer height works. 0.2mm is fine.
  • PLA, PETG, or ASA all work.
