TIMMY AIRSHOW Project 5th Release: Queen of the Skies Boeing 747-8i – Explorer Edition

Thank you to all our friends on MakerWorld for your love of our models. Building on our previously released Airbus series, we are officially launching our fifth model set, and our first Boeing airliner model—the Queen of the Skies, the 747-8i. The model is offered in Standard and Explorer editions. This file is for the Explorer Edition.
Considering the model's size and detail, the Standard Edition is provided in two different scales: 1:100 and 1:120. The finished model dimensions are shown in the table below:

In response to many requests, we have provided different printing files for the different scaled models, striving for one-piece printing as much as possible. Please select the corresponding file based on your preference. When choosing the cabin model, be sure to select the file corresponding to the correct scale. The base file is universal.

1. Key Printing Requirements

To ensure successful printing, please strictly follow these key printing requirements:
(1) For tall parts like the fuselage and wing parts, it is essential to apply adhesive to the heated bed during printing (recommended: Bambu Lab liquid glue), and appropriately increase the hotbed temperature according to the selected filament.
(2) Please use filament with good interlayer adhesion to ensure the strength of parts like the wings (especially the winglets). We recommend using PLA Basic or PLA+ for better interlayer adhesion (do not use filaments with poor interlayer adhesion like PLA Lite), and dry the filament before printing.

2. Custom Liveries

The model released this time features a blank fuselage without livery lines, making it convenient for you to create your favorite livery. We provide a complete DIY livery tutorial and templates. Please click here to view the tutorial. The templates can be downloaded from the document below.

 To ensure successful printing, please strictly follow these key requirements:
(1) For tall, slender parts like the fuselage and wings, it is essential to apply adhesive (recommended: Bambu Lab Liquid Glue) to the heated bed before printing. Also, appropriately increase the bed temperature based on the filament you are using.
(2) Use filament with good interlayer adhesion to ensure the strength of parts like the wings (especially the winglets). We recommend filaments with better layer bonding, such as PLA Basic or PLA+ (avoid filaments with poor interlayer adhesion like PLA Lite). Also, dry your filament before printing.
