Guppy Breeding Box (Inner Box)

This is an isolation box for guppies to give birth, effectively preventing the fry from being eaten by the mother fish after birth. This breeding box has good water permeability and ample space, with no blind spots for fry to escape, preventing them from being unable to escape the breeding box and being eaten by larger fish.

Each side of this breeding box is independent and requires assembly.

Each side can be secured in two ways:

Method One: Use filament to insert into the middle hole for securing (a test module needs to be printed, and the inner contour size compensation adjusted according to the test module's markings to prevent the hole diameter from being too large or too small. The profile has been modified by 0.15 by default, and after author testing, filament can be inserted perfectly).

Method Two: Use silicone O-rings. Purchase ones with an outer diameter of 5mm * wire diameter of 1mm or slightly smaller. They are very cheap on Taobao.

For the front observation panel, a 126mm*81mm rectangle can be trimmed from a transparent cake box and inserted during printing (a pause command has been added at the insertion point). If the transparent sheet is feared to move, use clear tape to lightly secure it.

If there is no transparent sheet, another grid can be printed, which only affects aesthetics, not usability.

This breeding box can be used with an outer box.

A non-permeable outer box can prevent amniotic fluid produced during the mother fish's labor from polluting the water quality.

A permeable box is suitable for raising fry, with an added air lift where an air stone can be placed to increase water circulation and dissolved oxygen.
