Description

I have some covers for the steering wheel switches for early model 3 spoke Subaru and DAMD steering wheels. My car didn’t come with steering wheel controls, and I was thinking about adding them, but it would require changing the clock spring and doing some extra wiring. Since my car is a project car, I don't need to do this right away.

I also tried to paint the original blank covers black, but my prep work wasn’t great, so they ended up with scratches, imperfections and didn’t look very good. I scanned the original covers, cleaned up the surface issues, printed new ones, then smoothed the surface with a quick vapor process using acetone.

You’ll need to drill a small hole for the screws because the scanner software filled that part in. I suggest printing the covers with a heat resistant plastic like ABS/ASA or better. Smoothing with acetone vapor makes for a really nice finish, but it’s optional if you prefer.
