This realistic, ascending stone retaining wall was specially designed for H0 scale (1:87) model railways and is ideal for alpine railway lines – especially for scenes of the southern side of the Alps (Switzerland / Northern Italy).
The model features a classic stone retaining wall made of irregular natural stones, ascending from right to left. The uneven top edge represents a partially exposed wall or one transitioning into rock, allowing for a particularly natural transition to terrain, rock, or cuttings.
With a wall height of 55 mm (corresponding to approximately 4.8 m in original scale), the element is dimensionally correct and well-proportioned – prominent, but not dominant.
The back is completely flat, allowing the module to be glued directly to slopes, substructures, or existing landscape elements. Thanks to the modular design, multiple elements can be combined to represent longer sections or individual terrain shapes.
The finely detailed stone structure is convincing even in raw print and is perfectly suited for simple post-processing such as washing or dry brushing.
