🍺🎩 Visor Cap - Beer Hat - Marksmen's Festival Edition 🎩🍺

🐝 to protect against wasps / bees 🐝

⚖️ Only 11 grams ⚖️

After my first model – the beer bottle hat in the shape of a classic marksman's hat (the adapters offered there for swing-top bottles are compatible with this model) I wanted to implement the same principle again in a different form
This model is therefore a "visor cap" variant that can also be placed on beer bottles

As with the first model, my focus was not only on the result but also on learning and trying out various 3D tools including Fusion, Blender, Meshmixer, and Nomad Sculpt
This gave me the opportunity to get to know and test different workflows

My goal was to familiarise myself with 3D design

Again, it can certainly be done better, but I can't look at any more hats for a while; here's a picture of my test prints from just the last two weeks before completion:

🖨️ print profile & Orientation – Please note:

The enclosed print profile is highly recommended
I have extensively tested and optimised the orientation and slicer settings to achieve several goals simultaneously:

  • good print quality
  • minimal support material
  • reliable printing
  • compatible with both the Bambu A1 mini and the A1

The current orientation is the result of many test prints
Please do not change the orientation in the slicer, as it was specifically chosen to maintain print quality while enabling stable printing

⚠️ Note on supports:

Unlike the marksman's hat, this model unfortunately cannot be printed entirely without supports
However, very few supports are needed

At first glance, these supports might seem difficult to remove or could damage the model
However, that is not the case

I recommend using pliers to grip the support and snap it off firmly

Thanks to the chosen settings, the supports usually detach very cleanly from the model I was surprised myself how easily they can be removed

The final print profile is based on many test prints and adjustments
As with the first model, the same applies here: **You learn the most by trying things out.**

Have fun printing and with your next drink under the visor cap! 🍻

You are welcome to upload adapted profiles, and I am always open to suggestions for improvement
