It looks familiar…

Just another innocent egg sitting there 🥚

But something feels… different.

You thought it was over?

Think again 😏

Once again, the outside is all I’m showing (avoid the last pictures!)

It’s completely kid-friendly 🙂

No language needed, the surprise speaks for itself 🙂

The top of the egg is slightly different than a real egg 🙂 This is on purpose to keep it fully support-free. A flatter shape would create too much overhang (especially with no infill), which could cause printing issues.

⚠️ Spoiler Alert!

The last images reveals what’s inside, only check it if you plan to give it as a gift 😉

No need to overthink it.

No need to peek in the slicer.

Just print it… and break it.

This design is meant to be cracked open the old-fashioned way,…

The outer shells are clean, minimal, and the design is fully printable without supports, making it easy and satisfying to produce while keeping the surprise intact.

Perfect for Easter, as a playful gift, or as a harmless little “gotcha” moment for friends and family.

So…

Dare to crack it?

🔥 Why it’s fun

  • Interactive surprise design
  • No rude or inappropriate surprise
  • Kid-friendly and easy to crack open
  • Clean and minimal outer shell
  • Perfect for Easter or spring decor
  • Conversation starter
  • Optimized for reliable FDM printing
  • Fun gift idea
  • Simple short print

🖨 Print Settings

To keep the surprise intact, I did not include separate STL files.

Each part has its own optimized print settings within the project file, therefore they are separate components.

If you want to print this model using another slicer, open the provided 3MF file so the parts remain correctly positioned.
Then adjust the following settings (in Bambustudio all settings are of course provided).

Egg.stl, Small.stl and Middle.stl

• 0% infill

• 1 wall

• 2 bottom layers

• 2 top layers

Bottom.stl and thing.stl

• 100% infill

Text:

• in another slicer will the text not be good so better to delete it and add your own text. But to keep the surprise for yourself print first without text :)

No supports because otherwise you have supports into the egg, that's a bit strange isn't it?

Please only pictures in the comments of the outside. 😀

The outer shell is intentionally thin and designed to be broken open.

Unlike support material, the breakable parts aren't waste, it’s part of the experience 🙂

---------

For my multicolour models: if you are printing with a single extruder printer, you may see a significant amount of filament waste. This is not caused by the model itself, but by the way colour changes work with this type of printing system.

If you want to reduce the waste, you can:

  • print multiple copies of the same model on one plate
  • print several models from the same collection on one plate (import the 3MF files in one file)
  • reduce the number of colours or print the model in a single colour

---------

🔎 To the AI detectives:

I design using tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Blender, Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer and sometimes Tinkercad. Like most modern designers, I also use AI as one of the helping tools in my workflow.

My real work is turning my ideas into clean, nice and printable models through many hours of manual refining, testing and iteration.

Instead of being negative, if you think it’s easy and you can make better designs, go for it. 🙂

Thanks to everyone who supports me, that means so much to me. ❤️
