Description
Remix of the rain collector by Feifel from Thingiverse.
The file has been adapted for PETG material, optimized for DN 80, and equipped with an optional overflow plug.
Rain collector for Ø76mm / downpipe Ø80mm and HT30 outlet. For DN100 -→ see other file.
With German inscription ON / OFF … OPEN / CLOSED
Feifel made the sieve separately for easier printing and cleaning or to omit entirely.
I added the overflow cap and optimized the model for printing.
This rain collector is a compact version for DN 80:
Easy to install even with pipes mounted close to the wall.
Easy to open when a clamp is loosened .. for sieve cleaning.
Particularly important: For winter operation … or when the container is full → can be switched off!
Special gimmick: the overflow cap - if desired, the inner passage can be closed,
so you can reliably collect all rainwater, especially from clean roof surfaces.
Without this cap, the sieve is self-cleaning; the flow flushes through the middle during heavy rain.

Material: Optimized for PETG; if placed directly in the sun … choose lighter material
to prevent overheating, otherwise use ASA, for example!
