This design offers a modular track system perfectly suited for standard 1:64 scale toy cars. It features smooth track surfaces with precisely engineered connector slots. This set includes four critical lengths to provide maximum flexibility in your track layouts.

Components Included:

  • Track Section A: 100mm
  • Track Section B: 150mm
  • Track Section C: 200mm
  • Track Section D: 250mm

Technical & Print Specifications:

Pre-Engineered Minimum-Material Supports: To ensure a successful and resource-efficient 3D print, this model is designed with highly optimized, pre-engineered support structures. These supports are integrated into the model, precisely placed for overhangs and connector details. This ensures:

  • Fast & Clean Removal: Supports snap away cleanly with minimal tool work.
  • Optimal Resource Usage: The supports use the absolute minimum material needed for stability, making the print cost-effective.

Recommended 3D Printing Materials:

Selecting the right material will optimize your track system for different uses.

  • TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) - 95A Hardness:

    • Best For: High-durability connectors, flexible track sections, and crash-resistant parts.
    • Properties: Exceptional impact resistance and virtually unbreakable. The "semi-flex" 95A grade provides enough rigidity to maintain track shape while allowing the connectors to flex indefinitely without snapping.
    • Note: Requires slower print speeds and is best suited for direct-drive extruders.

     

  • PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol):
    • Best For: Tracks that may experience more mechanical stress or temperature changes.
    • Properties: High impact resistance, moderate flexibility (helps prevent brittle snapping), and better temperature resistance than PLA.
    • Note: May require a glue stick for removal on some print beds.

       

  • PLA (Polylactic Acid):
    • Best For: Everyday play, high-speed tracks, and dimensional accuracy.
    • Properties: High stiffness and excellent surface finish. The rigidity helps the track sections connect securely.
    • Note: Brittle; connector tabs may snap under heavy bending.

       

  • ABS / ASA:
    • Best For: Production-grade durability and outdoor use (ASA).
    • Properties: Excellent temperature resistance. ASA is UV-stable.
    • Note: Prone to warping; requires an enclosure.

       

       

Optimal Print Parameters:

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm for balance, or 0.16mm for a cleaner track surface.
  • Infill: 15%
  • Perimeters (Walls): 3 perimeters for strength in connection points.
