🏎️ RC Buggy Wheel and Tire Set

This is a faithful recreation of a classic "Aliexpress" rim and tire set widely used in 1:10 scale RC Buggy and Truggy projects. It was specifically designed for those who want to replace original wheels or customize their car with high-strength 3D Printed components

Design Features

• Fidelity: Based on the real model, ensuring compatibility with standard hexes
• Optimized for Printing: Geometry adjusted to minimize supports and maximize layer adhesion
• Realistic Look: "Beadlock" screw details and aggressive tread pattern for maximum traction on dirt and grass

Recommended Print Settings

For optimal performance and durability, I recommend the following material combination:

• Rim: * Material: PETG HF (High Flow) – Chosen for its impact resistance and superior flexibility compared to PLA, ideal for the mechanical stresses of RC
  • Walls: 4 to 6 walls for maximum structural rigidity

  • Infill: 40% (Gyroid or Honeycomb)

     

• Tire:
  • Material: TPU 95A – Provides the perfect balance between "grip" and durability
  • Walls: 2 to 3 walls (depending on desired hardness)
  • Infill: 5% to 10% (Gyroid) to simulate internal foam effect, or 0% if planning to use physical foams

Assembly Instructions

1. Clean any support residue from the rim's hex cavity
2. The TPU tire should be carefully fitted onto the rim. If too tight, immersing the tire in hot water for 30 seconds will facilitate assembly
3. (Optional) Use a drop of CA (cyanoacrylate) glue specific for RC tires if the motor is high RPM (Brushless), to prevent the tire from detaching from the rim
