The Air65 Frame is a specially developed, ultralight frame for 65 mm tinywhoops focusing on maximum efficiency and flight performance. The goal was to reduce weight while improving aerodynamics and stability – without compromising practical use

At only 2.46 g, the frame is lighter than the standard (2.66 g), allowing for more direct responsiveness, better agility, and potentially longer flight times. The optimized geometry also reduces air resistance, further increasing flight efficiency

The construction is deliberately robust, so the frame can withstand intense maneuvers. An integrated battery holder ensures a secure fit and a clean, compact setup – without any additional fastening solutions

Features:

  • Ultralight: only 2.46 g
  • Improved aerodynamics for more efficient flight
  • Stable construction for high durability
  • Integrated battery holder for a clean build
  • Designed for performance-oriented Tinywhoop setups

Printing Recommendations

For the best results, the frame has been specifically optimized for printing with technical materials:

  • Material:
PETG-HF (High Flow) recommended – offers a good combination of strength and flexibility
  • Important Note:
PLA is not recommended as it is too brittle and does not reliably withstand the stresses of flight
  • Supports:
For optimal surface quality, Support for PLA interfaces were used to achieve a clean transition between the model and the support
  • Alternative:
Normal supports are possible, but the best results were achieved with the method mentioned above
  • Nozzle:
    • 0.4 mm (proven and tested)
    • 0.2 mm for even finer details and higher precision

The battery slot was made 0.3mm higher in the second print profile to make it easier to use even swollen batteries
