It looks familiar…
Just an innocent fortune cookie sitting there 🥠
But something feels… different.
You thought it was just a simple print?
Think again 😏
Once again, I’m only showing the outside (avoid the last picture if you want the full experience!).
It’s completely kid-friendly 🙂
All I can say is…
You might need a mirror at some point 👀
That’s it. No more hints.
⚠️ Spoiler Alert!
The last image reveals what’s inside, only check it if you plan to give it as a gift 😉
No need to overthink it.
No need to peek in the slicer.
Just print it… and break it.
This design is meant to be cracked open the old-fashioned way,…
The outer shell is clean, minimal, and fully printable without supports, making it easy and satisfying to produce while keeping the surprise intact.
Perfect for April Fool’s Day, as a playful gift, or as a harmless little “gotcha” moment for friends and family.
So…
Dare to crack the cookie? 😄
🔥 Why it’s fun
- Interactive surprise design
- April Fool themed twist
- Kid-friendly and harmless
- Clean and minimal outer shell
- Fully support-free
- Optimized for reliable FDM printing
- Fun gift idea
- Quick and satisfying print
🖨 Print Settings
To keep the surprise intact, I did not include separate STL files.
Each part has its own optimized print settings within the project file, therefore they are separate components.
If you want to print this model using another slicer, open the provided 3MF file so the parts remain correctly positioned.
Then adjust the following settings (in Bambustudio all settings are of course provided).
fortune-cookie.stl
• 0% infill
• 1 wall
• 5 bottom layers
• 2 top layers
Bottom.stl
• 100% infill
No supports because otherwise you have supports into the fortune cookie, that's a bit strange isn't it?
Please only pictures in the comments of the outside. 😀
The outer shell is intentionally thin and designed to be broken open.
Unlike support material, the breakable parts aren't waste, it’s part of the experience 🙂
---------
For my multicolour models: if you are printing with a single extruder printer, you may see a significant amount of filament waste. This is not caused by the model itself, but by the way colour changes work with this type of printing system.
If you want to reduce the waste, you can:
- print multiple copies of the same model on one plate
- print several models from the same collection on one plate (import the 3MF files in one file)
- reduce the number of colours or print the model in a single colour
---------
🔎 To the AI detectives:
I design using tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Blender, Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer and sometimes Tinkercad. Like most modern designers, I also use AI as one of the helping tools in my workflow.
My real work is turning my ideas into clean, nice and printable models through many hours of manual refining, testing and iteration.
Instead of being negative, if you think it’s easy and you can make better designs, go for it. 🙂
Thanks to everyone who supports me, that means so much to me. ❤️
