Articulated Spider - Kit card - Animals
Print Profile(5)

Description
Hello everyone, here is my latest creation: an articulated spider in the form of a kit card so it can be placed in "Pieksekisten" or offered as an assembly kit
I love spending time with my children assembling models because in addition to being a learning experience (fine motor skills and critical thinking), it's a real moment of sharing and bonding. So I designed this spider with this goal in mind: that there are enough parts so that preparation and assembly take about ten minutes, that assembly is intuitive and reversible (if you make a mistake, you can disassemble and reassemble), no glue, and a fun result. Once assembled, place it in the desired position or hang it; a small hole is placed at the end of its abdomen to insert a thread for hanging
This spider can be made in 3 different sizes: 75%, 100% and 150%. It is important to respect the respective layer heights of 0.10mm, 0.16mm and 0.2mm for the joints to function well. The multi-color print time at 100% size is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. You can place 3 per plate (256mmx256mmx256mm). PLA Basic works well but you can also use PETG, ABS or ASA without any problem. DO NOT USE PLA Silk because it risks breaking at the joints. Making the eyes or even the body in PLA Glow gives very good results with children…
Not suitable for children under 5 years old, contains small parts
For a perfect finish, you can reduce the layer heights - (example: 0.12mm for 100% size)
Happy printing
