FlexiBrush – Customizable Toothbrush Holder

I always had the problem that standard toothbrush holders either didn't fit properly or offered too little space.

That's why I designed this one so that it can be easily adapted to your own toothbrushes.

The holder is parametrically designed, meaning you can adjust the most important dimensions yourself – such as the number of toothbrushes and heads and their respective diameters. This way, it truly fits your setup, not the other way around.

What can be customized

  • Holder size (base area and height of the holder)
  • Number of toothbrushes
  • Number of brush heads
  • Diameter of toothbrush handles
  • Diameter of brush heads
  • Distance between handles
  • Distance between brush heads
  • Radii of the basic shape (round or rather angular)

Usage notes

Measure your toothbrush handle at its widest point and add some tolerance so it's not too fiddly when inserting.

Measure your brush head at its widest point (at the very bottom) and once at the shaft.

Enter the value from 1 into the "Head Bottom" line.
Enter the value from 2 into the ”Head Upper" line.

Feel free to round the value up to the nearest 0.5mm.

You can remove the radius by inserting a negative number for "CUT Left" or “Cut right”.
This way, you can create middle and edge parts that can then be joined in the slicer.

If certain elements overlap or are not generated when creating FlexiBrush, simply increase their distance from each other.

Handle pockets overlap, as do the brush head holders.
Solution: Elements further apart. Parameters: “HANDLE space” and “Brush head space”.

If the basic shape is asymmetrical, you can also manually shorten all four sides of the holder. (This should always be the last adjustment; first define the number of handles and brush heads, as well as the diameters.)

Basic shape asymmetrical because one toothbrush and two brush heads are needed.
Solution: 40mm removed from the left side. Parameter "CUT L".

What (still?) doesn't work:

  • With certain parameter combinations, model errors can occur. I have tested many variants and reduced the error susceptibility through dependent dimensions, but it cannot be completely ruled out yet. I welcome feedback from the community if something doesn't work.
