Description
The Elastic Octo - Spin

I had long wanted to design a **fidget toy** myself – and the competition was the perfect opportunity for me to finally do that. The idea of creating something that is not only fun but also offers a small added value in everyday life appealed to me directly. That's why the Octo-Spin was created: a simple, quick, and at the same time versatile project that shows how much can be achieved even with little material

The **Octo-Spin** is a compact, 3D-printable flying and play object with an organic, octopus-like shape. The five softly curved arms ensure **smooth gliding** when throwing, while the small elevations along the surface provide a pleasant haptic feel. Unlike a classic boomerang, the focus here is not on returning, but on controlled throwing, playing, and experimenting – ideal for indoors and short distances
In handling, the Octo-Spin is particularly versatile: It can be rotated and felt as a **finger fidget**, promote perception as a **sensory toy**, or simply serve as a **stress fidget** to keep busy and relax. The structure and shape create pleasant tactile feedback that invites playing and experimenting
If you like my model, I would be very happy about a **Like**. Even more helpful is your **feedback** – I am still relatively new to 3D printing and design and would like to improve further. Feel free to write to me what works well or what I can do better
Thank you for watching and supporting
Printing and Material Note
It is best to print it from elastic TPU. I used TPU 95A HF.
