HexaCore Prime – Transformable 6-legged Spherical Mech

Step into a futuristic universe with HexaCore Prime, a fully deployable sci-fi mech hidden within a compact sphere

Designed to smoothly transform from a minimalist closed form into a complete mechanical unit, HexaCore Prime reveals an impressive structure composed of six articulated legs, a distinctive central eye, and integrated weapon systems on its upper part

Every detail has been designed to offer a balance between aesthetics, mechanical enjoyment, and ease of printing. Assembly requires a small flat-head screwdriver and a drop of glue for the eye. Find the full video here: https://youtu.be/dYhtirstM1A

🧠 Design Philosophy

HexaCore Prime was designed around a simple idea: to hide complexity within a pure form

Inspired by futuristic drones and autonomous machines, this model highlights the concept of transformation and latent power, revealed only upon its deployment

Although I have already designed many models, HexaCore Prime is my very first robot, and I took immense pleasure in imagining and developing this design. I hope you will like it as much as I enjoyed creating it

If so, please do not hesitate to let me know in the comments — your feedback is invaluable and encourages me to go further. With your support, this model could be the first in a series of robots with even more ambitious and complex designs

I am aware that this is quite a long print and a technical assembly, but its size, once folded, is perfect for "Pieksekisten" and I loved watching my children marvel as they discovered the hidden mechanism
