Description
TPU cover for balcony / veranda sunshade base
I modeled this cover to replace the original end caps of the sunshade base used on apartment balconies. The main idea was to create a functional and safer part for daily use.
Different from the original rigid parts, this version was printed in TPU, which helps absorb impacts when the sunshade base hits due to wind. In practice, this significantly reduces the risk of damaging or even breaking the glass, in addition to reducing the noise of impacts.
The part was developed to fit into the sunshade base and function as a side finish, maintaining good fixation and offering a more impact-resistant solution than versions printed in rigid materials like PLA.

Recommended material:
- TPU, precisely to maintain the cushioning function
- I do not recommend rigid material for this application, because the purpose of the part is to prevent hard impact against the glass

Before printing, check the measurements of your base, as this type of profile may vary depending on the sunshade manufacturer.
