⚙️ Customizer Features:

  • Acoustic Power: Features 4 separate internal resonating chambers. By default, they are tuned to different lengths to create a dissonant, ear-piercing frequency that cuts through ambient noise.
  • Custom Text: Add your own name, team name, or emergency contact info directly onto the top surface.
  • Tactile Grip Lines: Generate optional grip lines so the whistle won't slip out of wet or cold hands.
  • Dynamic Lanyard Hole: Easily attach it to a paracord, carabiner, or zipper pull.

 

🧠 Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators) 

To ensure maximum acoustic performance and durability, this is not a standard static STL, but an acoustically engineered parametric generator. The underlying OpenSCAD algorithm dynamically calculates complex boolean subtractions to simultaneously generate four internal resonating chambers and precise air channels. Critical acoustic components, such as the windway height and the exact 18-degree fipple angle, are mathematically defined to ensure optimal air splitting and maximum decibel output. The four distinct chamber lengths are computationally varied to generate a specific dissonant frequency chord designed to cut through environmental background noise. Finally, the entire internal geometry is mathematically optimized for flat FDM printing, allowing the critical fipple edges and internal acoustic ceilings to print flawlessly without requiring internal supports.

 

🖨️ Print Settings:

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS / ASA (PETG is great for outdoor/wet use!).
  • Layer Height: 0.12mm or 0.16mm. A lower layer height makes the critical fipple (the sharp edge that splits the air) much sharper, resulting in a much louder and clearer whistle!
  • Infill: 10% (Gyroid) is enough but I recommend 100% (Solid). Sound bounces best off dense walls. A hollow whistle absorbs sound, so make sure your walls are thick and infill is solid.
  • Supports: NONE!
