Description

✈️🍟 1:400 McDonald's Restaurant – PlayPlace & Drive-Thru

Add a familiar roadside stop to your 1:400 airport layout! This detailed McDonald's restaurant is loosely based on the South Launceston McDonald's and features a PlayPlace tower, drive-thru menu boards, and Golden Arches signage. Designed to fit naturally alongside terminals, highways, and airport surroundings.

Picture this: you're heading down the highway toward the airport. You pull into the McDonald's conveniently placed near the runway, grab a Big Mac meal, and watch a Boeing 777 roar into the sky just beyond the car park. This model is designed to bring that kind of scene to life in miniature. ✈️🍔

✨ Features

  • 1:400 scale McDonald's building
  • PlayPlace tower front section
  • Drive-thru advertising / menu boards
  • Golden Arches signage
  • Compact footprint for crowded layouts
  • Designed for airport and roadside scenes
  • Clean geometry for reliable printing

🎨 Colours

This model is provided uncoloured, so you can paint or print it in your own style.
If anyone would like to create and upload a coloured print profile, you are more than welcome to — contributions are appreciated and help others get great results. 🎨

🖨️ Printing

  • Scale: 100% (already 1:400)
  • Supports: Yes (recommended for overhangs)
  • Layer height: 0.12–0.16 mm recommended
  • Works well on Bambu, Prusa, Ender, and similar printers

🧩 Perfect for

  • 1:400 airports
  • Terminal surroundings
  • Highway scenes
  • Airport access roads
  • Model cities & dioramas

It does include modeled pieces for the drive through but they do print really small and may be too smal for your airport. This is my third 3D model, and I’m continuing to improve with each design. Feedback is very welcome — I’m also open to suggestions for more 1:400 airport scenery ideas you’d like to see next. 💡

If you like this model, please consider boosting it — it really helps others discover it and supports future 1:400 airport designs. ⭐

Thanks for checking it out, and I hope it finds a spot in your airport layout! ✈️🍟
