Description

This is a custom-designed scanning mount for the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor, specifically engineered for obstacle-avoiding robots and Arduino projects.

The design consists of two parts:

  1. Servo Base: A cylindrical housing designed to hold a standard SG90 Micro Servo securely. It features a cross-pattern structure for rigidity and aesthetics.
  2. Sensor Head: A rotating platform that attaches to the servo horn. It includes a vertical bracket with two cutouts perfectly spaced for the HC-SR04 sensor's transmitter and receiver tubes.

How it works: The SG90 servo sits inside the base, acting as the neck. The sensor head mounts on top of the servo, allowing your robot to "look" left and right to scan for obstacles.

Hardware Required:

  • 1x HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor
  • 1x SG90 Micro Servo (9g)
  • Standard servo screws (usually included with the servo)
