Description

A customizable 3–6 way connector that allows you to build structures at any angle.

Unlike fixed-angle joints, this connector lets you define the exact angle of additional arms (in XY, YZ and/or XZ planes) — making it ideal for both structural and experimental builds. The main 3 (XYZ) arms are fixed at 90° angles.

The default configuration includes a 45° angled arm for a 10 mm diameter rod, but the rod diameter, inset length, number of extra arms and their angles can be freely adjusted using Makerworld's Customize option (OpenSCAD).

Features:

  • 3 to 6 connection arms (configurable per plane)
  • fully adjustable angles (XY, XZ, YZ)
  • parametric design (rod diameter, insert depth, wall thickness)
  • extended arm geometry to prevent gaps at shallow angles
  • optional internal ribs for added strength
  • flat-bottom print option for better printability and stronger prints

Use cases:

  • custom frames and supports
  • angled structures and bracing systems
  • prototyping modular builds
  • educational geometry models
  • replacement parts for broken connectors

The included 3MFs use a 45° configuration, and a one extra-arm 30-60 degree example (for 10 mm rod diameters) as a practical starting point.

This model is part of a broader modular connector system for building 2D and 3D structures.

UPDATE April 2026

Based on your feedback, optional pin holes are now available (Customize via OpenSCAD).
Allows secure rod locking with screws or cross pins.
