Description

The HJC RPHA 11 is a great helmet however on a few occasions I have found that bugs survive being ingested through the top vents and then proceed to walk over the top of your head when you are riding along.  Not knowing if they are harmless or likely to bite or sting you, you are forced to keep bashing the top of your helmet to try and squash it risking further aggravating the potentially biting or stinging bug or pull over and remove it.

This file is for two little grills that sit in front of the ports and filter out the bigger, scarier bugs.  You can still use the wheels to open and close the vents and they are thin enough to not majorly interfere with the airflow.

I printed them in blue PETG because I though PETG would better suit the hot summer sun (wishful thinking in UK) and I already had blue loaded up.  They are a fairly snug fit but I applied a little bit of superglue with a cocktail stick just to make sure they stayed put.  I suggest you close the ports while fitting them just in case it somehow disappears into the vent channel.

I added a mouse ear brim as the footprint is very small for printing. It's fairly obvious but the curve goes towards the inside of the vent and the thinner end towards the centre of the helmet.

My wife recons this is a very niche solution to a very niche problem.  I am hoping hundreds of bikers will benefit from this innovative solution and I'll get enough points to get some cool things from Bambu.
