Description
Description: "Bring the Hopping Technology to life! This isn't just a static prop—it’s a functional electronics housing designed to recreate the consciousness transfer sequence from Pixar’s Hoppers."
This model is divided into 3 main parts for easy printing and hardware integration:
- The Base Frame: The main structural body of the machine.
- The Internal Electronics Cradle: A dedicated space to house your Microcontroller (ESP32, Arduino Nano, etc.) and wiring.
- The Translucent Top Bed: Designed to be printed in transparent/clear filament to act as a light diffuser.
Interactive Features: I designed this specifically for makers who want to go the extra mile. By adding a simple sensor (like a Reed switch, pressure sensor, or NFC), you can trigger an "Immersive Transfer Effect."
- The Gimmick: When you place your Hopper figurine on the device, the internal LEDs pulse and glow, simulating the moment Mabel "hops" into her beaver body!
Hardware Compatibility:
- Space for LEDs: Fits standard 5V LED strips or Neopixels.
- MCU Room: Ample space for small-form-factor microcontrollers.
- Cable Management: Includes a discreet exit hole for a USB power cable.
Assembly & Printing Tips:
- Parts: 3 Parts (Base, Core, Lens). No glue is required for the main fit, but optional for permanent assembly.
- Diffuser: For the best "transfer glow," print the top part with 0% infill and only 1-2 walls using transparent PLA or PETG.
- Code: (Optional) If you're using WLED or a custom script, the effect looks best with a "breathing" or "cyan-to-white" pulse animation!
