Description
The Yamato (大和) was a battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. She was the lead ship of the Yamato class and along with her sister ship, the Musashi, was the heaviest and most heavily armed battleship ever constructed, thanks to her full-load displacement of 72,800 tonnes and her nine 460 mm guns.
