Bill of Materials
Description
A large photo frame designed to be printed on A1 Mini. This large photo frame i've designed it so it can be printed in half sections to fit on the A1 Mini print bed. The photo frame consists of the following parts:
- Two rear half sections
- Two front half sections
- Stand for the photo frame which has two parts, base section & rear upright support section
Assembly
Once the parts have been printed, removed the brim using a deburring tool or similar. Take care when removing the support material from the underside of the two clips.
The two parts labelled top half assemble by means of small plug/holes. Apply a small amount of glue to the raised section with the holes on the rear top half. Then place the front top half onto the top half rear section taking care to align the small plugs up with the holes.
Repeat the process with the bottom half front & rear sections.
The bottom half fits on to the top half by means of two clips, which fit into two holes on the top half. Apply a small amount of glue along one edge of the two half's being joined. Take care when aligning & fitting the two clips into the the two holes. Align time for the glue to set.
Where the joint line is between the two halves, apply glue to one side of the heart shape & place onto the front of the frame where the join line is. Repeat the process with gluing & placing second heart over the other joint line, as seen in the photos.
The print includes an extra two decorative hearts & also four optional mini wedding anvil's.
The frame takes photo sized approx. 203mm x 144mm. Cut photo to size & place into the frame. To protect the photo, cut a sheet of clear acetate sheet (available from model/hobby/craft shops) to approx. 146mm x 226mm. The clear acetate sheet slides into place via the slot at the bottom of the frame.
The stand is in two parts & slots together as shown in the photos. Finally, with the stand assembled, slide the photo frame into the angled slot in the stand.
The frame shown in the photo, I've printed in Bambulab Dual Silk PLA, whilst the heart & anvil have been printed in Bambulab PLA Basic Red & PLA basic Black. Feel free to print in whichever colours you prefer.
Happy Printing.
