4x4 Mini Off-Roader - CyberBrick RC - ZL017

Description

Description

4x4 Mini Off-Roader | Jimny Body Remix

Some projects just stop you mid-scroll. That's exactly what happened when I came across @wuguigui's 4x4 Mini Off-Roader and @Kocyns' Jimny body. Two completely different creators, two completely different approaches — but both had something special that I couldn't stop thinking about.

The problem? Neither one was quite complete for me. The chassis from @wuguigui is an absolute masterpiece — dual differentials, true 4WD, Body-on-Frame construction, engineered with incredible precision. But I wanted a different body on it. And @Kocyns' Jimny? One of the most charming and well-proportioned RC body designs I've ever seen — but I needed it bigger, tougher, and sitting on that legendary drivetrain.

So I combined them. And I think the result speaks for itself.

What's in this remix?

The chassis is 100% unchanged from @wuguigui's original — I didn't touch a single part. It's that good. What I did was take @Kocyns' Jimny body, scale it up 30% to properly fit the wider, more aggressive stance of the 4x4 chassis, and redesign the mounting system from scratch.

Body upgrades over the original Jimny design:

  • 🔓 Quick-release body system — snap off the body in seconds, no tools needed. Perfect for battery swaps, wiring access, or just showing off the chassis underneath
  • 🔧 Opening hood — direct access to the power switch without removing the entire body
  • 📐 Redesigned mount — custom fit to the @wuguigui upper plate, solid and rattle-free

The result is a proper little monster truck with the soul of a classic off-roader.

  •
  • Difficulty & build time

  • This is not a beginner build. The chassis assembly follows @wuguigui's original guide (with some steps skipped — see the assembly instructions in the file) and requires patience, a good hex screwdriver, and careful cable management. Budget a solid afternoon for the chassis, and another hour or two for the body.
  • That said — every minute is worth it. This thing drives as good as it looks.
  • Credits

  • This remix would not exist without the incredible work of:
  • 🔩 Chassis: 4x4 Mini Off-Roader by @wuguigui
  • 🚙 Body (original design): Mini SUV Jimny by @Kocyns
