Description
I have designed this universal whistle module so it can be integrated into virtually any 3D model and turned into a functional whistle.
It is especially designed for small animal-shaped keychains, where the figure rests on the base and the mouth protrudes forward. The design is combined with the part as a negative volume, creating the internal channel necessary to produce sound.
How to use it
- Insert the design into the 3D model as a negative part / subtraction
- Make sure that the front cylinder and the bottom cone are outside the part
- Front cylinder: air inlet for blowing
- Bottom cone: sound outlet
Scaling and Tone
- If reduced to 70% of the original size, a higher pitched sound is obtained
- The larger the scale, the lower pitched the sound will be
- With a larger size, it can also be more difficult to achieve a loud sound
Printing Recommendations
- Recommended layer height: 0.16 mm or less
- Tested with:
- PLA
- PETG
Both materials have yielded perfect results.
