Description

Introducing RaeRay Gal, the leader of The Galactic Gardeners! I hope you like RaeRay--the latest addition to my ever-growing collection of air plant holders and my first real character design. Rae prints great in just one color, or in 5, so you can take your pick. The single color version I printed on my P1S in about 2 hours. I'll be honest, I printed the multi-color version on my Snapmaker U1 (it only takes 4 hours and 52g of filament).  If you have an H2C, it should be similar to the Snapmaker.

RaeRay is a wanderer from a distant star system leading a loose confederation of travelers drawn from dozens of worlds. What unites them isn't species or origin, but a shared bond with the tillandsia — the air plants they have some kind of inexplicable bond with.  They call themselves the Galactic Gardeners, though they'd be the first to say they don't really do the gardening. They just make sure the garden gets a chance.

The gardeners can often hear the call of tillandsia across vast expanses of space. Sometimes they are just singing a song of existence, but sometimes they're issuing a cry for help. When RaeRay hears that, the Gardeners plot a course and head off to investigate! Recently the cry from Earth had become too persistent to ignore, so Rae and Gardeners have just touched down to see what's going on.

NOTE: This model uses 5 colors, so if you only have 1 AMS then you will need to swap filament rolls. The desert tan only prints on the base, so you can swap that out for silver after it's done. For Snapmaker users, I recommend pausing the print to unload the tan, load the silver and then resume the print.
