Description
Let me introduce you to my custom-designed enclosure for the Heltec Wireless Paper. This enclosure is versatile, accommodating larger batteries, and features a simple button design on its side for easy operation.
Hardware:
- Heltec Wireless Paper board
- SMA pigtail (included with the board)
- 2x M2 screws (included with the board)
- 4x M3x12-14mm button head screws
- 4x M3 heat inserts
Print Settings:
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Perimeters: 3
- Bridge infill direction (Bridging angle in Prusa slicer): 90° (to avoid long bridging on the logo)
- Supports: Not needed (holes have a thin layer so the bridges print nicely, poke the holes with a sharp object before assembly)
Battery Compatibility:
The back case is designed to fit batteries up to 41mm x 76mm, with three thickness options:
- S: Fits flat batteries up to 7mm.
- M: Fits flat batteries up to 12mm (e.g., 4000mAh 124065, the largest found so far).
- L: Can fit two 18650 batteries in a holder (e.g., https://aliexpress.com/item/4001152338150.html) or other batteries up to 19mm.
Additional Information:
My design is somewhat parametric (still learning), so I can adjust it to different sizes based on demand.
Note: Be gentle when tightening the screws :)
