Description
When Design meets Wind: Pinwheel 3D Revolution
Technical Production Notes:
Material: I chose a PLA Silk Blue filament to achieve that metallic/satin finish that changes reflection based on the angle of light.
Design: The blades were modeled with minimal thickness to ensure rotation even with a light breeze, while maintaining the structural rigidity needed not to deform.
The Central Pivot: The true heart of the project. I designed an interlocking pin to ensure minimal friction without the use of ball bearings.
Support: Mounted on a natural wooden rod with a diameter of 0.8Ø for a very clean 'tech-organic' contrast
